Monday Morning:
Ouch! Kate and I woke up with tender shoulders... and my poor nose! Too mucho sun yesterday, but no problemo, some champagne with breakfast at Toscani's will fix that! Kate was just so excited she's getting into her groove.

Breakfast at Toscani's was great. Champagne once again and a served breakfast. They also had a buffet which Kate enjoyed which included fruits, cereal and even salmon.

Today we ensured we had lots of sun lotion on, and I brought my hat before heading to the beach bar for a startup drink. Kate actually found time today to relax in a lounger... something I failed to do on this trip... oops!

This is the day we met bartenders Kim, Shawn and Simeon at the beach bar also, and learned about Crystal Rum. Crystal is a great light rum from St Lucia, and it quickly became the weapon of choice for the rest of the week. After 5 trips, we finally learned to stay away from the syrupy drinks like No Pressure No Problem. Oh and YES you can get Crystal at the Duty free at the Hewanorra aiport.

Kim, Shawn and Simeon were hilarious and kept us entertained all week. Here is Kim demonstrating proper pole dancing techniques. We joined in the Reggae dance lessons hoping they wouldn't get us doing the usual Dollar Dance which I am getting pretty good at! Ha! 2 years ago we won a bottle of rum at Sandals Royal Bahamian for Dollar Dancing.

Next on the adjenda was the Meet the Managers Party where we were introduced to the managerial staff and presented with a glass of champagne before heading over to the spread of crackers, cheese, fruits and delicious shrimp. We also met up with Jacquie, George, Neil and Val at the party. Normally this is a dressy affair, and we had all dressed up however some guests were feeding on the buffet while still in their bathing suits. We recommend you not do this... eating at the buffet is ok though!

We headed over to the Olde London Pub and Restaurant for a few drinks with the gang and checked out the famous two stick mozzarella sticks. Do try these out, they are pretty good. Its basically pub fare here but it has a nice atmosphere. Adjoining the pub is a pool room with 4 snooker tables if I'm not mistaken. Then off we went to the beach bar buffet and party which unfortunately was rain out AFTER they had finished setting everything up. No problemo! We headed down anyway and simply took shelter under some umbrellas. Kate and Jacquie had the big umbrella as seen here, George and I huddled with the girl at the Bounty Rum table under a small umbrella trying to keep dry. Ok so a lot of the food was bound to be pretty soggy!

Oops! Kate I think that bread stick is a bit too soggy!

Kate pretends she is on Survivor and takes a sip on a coconut. Uughhh... warm coconut water isn't too appealing. Needs some rum and ice...

Dave turns into Coconut Joe.Few bothered with the beach bar buffet because of the rain, so the steel band that was supposed to entertain gave up their musical instruments for plates and salvaged what they could from the partly covered tables and had a HUGE feast on their own. Dang! Should have taken their photo.
In the Palladium that night they were hosting a limbo night with 3 fine limber entertainers. Of course afterwards the audience was invited to join in for a limbo contest. It started on pretty basic, then they had us doing something silly before each attempt. Jacquie decided to sneak back to her seat, but in the end when the audience judged the women, Jacquie won! Good going Jacquie!
Well thats it for today... wonder what tommorrow will bring?
