Campground Overview
Stony Brook State Park's terrain comprises hilly woodlands; a deep gorge with rugged cliffs overlooking three waterfalls; and fascinating rock formations. Tent and trailer campsites are scattered in the woodlands above the gorge in the upper, or south, end of the park. Visitors can hike rim, gorge, or nature trails, play tennis on park courts, picnic, or swim in the park's stream-fed guarded swimming pool. Stony Brook offers 120 campsites upstream from the Stony Brook falls that cater to those with tents, small trailers as well some sites large enough for RVs.

Dave's Tips

Site 94 Backing onto Stony Brook Creek
Best options in my opinion would be sites along Stony Brook Creek. ie site 93-115 which are very flat, larger along with a view of the creek. I should note that the creek is not accessible to campers.

The middle loop up on the hill (Sites 1-34) is quite flat and open. There are some cabins up here as well.

Site 43 Up on the Hill
Although sites 35-53 are a a bit out of the way, they are on a hill and cramed together somewhat. I would avoid these sites unless you are a small group and want to be camped together on one of the side loops like, 39/40/41 or 35/36/37/38.
