Fish Creek Pond has been updated for the 2026 camping season. Some sites were removed, and a few were combined to create new family sites. All remaining sites were then renumbered in a consistent sequence. Although the old A-loop and C-loop labels are no longer used, the physical locations and characteristics of those areas remain the same. These updates apply to all reservations beginning in 2026.
To help you plan with confidence, BaseCamp has added several new tools and improvements that make it easy to understand what changed and to find your favorite sites under the new numbering system.
The following 20 sites from the old numbering system were removed for the 2026 season:
1W, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 28, 67, B1, C6, C7, C17, 136, 137, 167, 183, 288, 305
A few existing sites were combined to form new family sites:
The 2026 numbering system now includes three family sites: F25, F90 and F314.
After the site removals and the creation of new family sites, all remaining sites were renumbered in a consistent order for improved clarity throughout the campground.
A total of 24 campsites had their allowable camping equipment length updated. Some sites are now rated for larger units, while others have been adjusted to shorter limits. 16 tent sites are now rated for a maximum equipment length of 10 ft. Newly introduced site lengths include 10ft, 15ft and 25ft
The following sites are now designated as non reservable under the new numbering system:
18, 21, 23, 24, 25, 37, 38, 42, 85, 159, 167, 191, 294, 299, 300, 301, 317, 322.
Under the old site numbering, these correspond to:
21, C1, C3, C4, C5, C8, C9, C13, R2, 127, 135, 161, 266, 271, 272, 273, 291, 296.
As part of the renumbering, many sites in the former C loop are no longer reservable. The only remaining reservable site from the east side of old C loop on Fish Creek is 2.
Each Fish Creek site now shows:
This makes it easy to recognize your familiar sites under the new system.
This tool lets you:
BaseCamp uses clear color coding to make it easy to identify whether a site is on the water or off the water at a glance.
Additional site information is provided, including the distance to the nearest washroom and tap and the specific site number where each is located, along with watersite category details to help campers better understand shoreline quality, access, and view.
Sites are organized into intuitive areas to help campers quickly understand where each site is located. Examples include Old C Loop, Bridge to Amphitheatre, Peninsula Loop and Square Pond North. These area labels, along with descriptive details, provide helpful context about each site's location and surroundings.
All of your previously saved campsite favorites have been automatically updated to the new 2026 site numbers, so there’s no need to re-enter or recreate your lists.
